Autistic symptoms and behaviors can combine in many different ways and vary in severity. Because of this, treatment strategies are tailored to meet individual needs. Some treatments used for people with autism include:

Behavioral training and management uses positive reinforcement, self-help, and social skills training to improve behavior and communication.

Specialized therapies: include speech, occupational, and physical therapy. Speech therapy helps children with autism improve social skills to communicate more effectively. Occupational and physical therapy help improve any issues with coordination or motor skills. Occupational therapy also helps children with autism learn to process information by using their senses. (sight, sound, hearing,etc.)

Medicine is mostly used to treat related conditions the person with autism may have, including depression, anxiety, and hyperactivity.
